Pour sa contribution au renforcement des relations commerciales entre le Gabon et l’Inde, le ministre de la Promotion des investissements en charge des Partenariats public-privé, Hugues Mbandinga Madiya a reçu la semaine dernière le prix «India Africa Awards 2023».

Présent à New Delhi en Inde où il a pris part au lancement du premier projet de ZES agricole du Gabon, au côté du ministre de l’Agriculture, Charles Mve Ella, le ministre de la Promotion des investissements, Hugues Mbandinga Madiya s’est vu décerner une prestigieuse distinction. Le membre du gouvernement a reçu les «India Africa Awards 2023», pour son immense contribution au renforcement des relations commerciales entre l’Inde et la République gabonaise. Cette remise de distinction s’est déroulée le 15 juin dernier à l’Auditorium Deshmukh, India International Center à New Delhi.

En 2022, au cours de la mission de prospection économique et culturelle effectuée par les hommes d’affaires indiens au Gabon, les deux pays ont davantage renforcé la coopération qui les lie depuis plus de 30 ans. Le ministre Hugues Mbadinga Madiya, assurant la tutelle de l’Agence nationale de la promotion des investissements (ANPI), a offert toutes les facilités aux entreprises indiennes. Des accords ont été signés et des contacts prometteurs noués entre les entreprises des deux pays.
L’Inde est présente au Gabon depuis plus de 30 ans. Le commerce bilatéral entre les deux nations a atteint 1,12 milliard de dollars (729 milliards de FCFA) entre 2021 et 2022. Avec plus de 55 entreprises indiennes qui opèrent actuellement au Gabon dans les secteurs du bois, des mines, des infrastructures, de la santé… L’Inde se positionne aujourd’hui comme la deuxième plus grande destination des exportations gabonaises.
