Football : D’anciennes gloires présentées comme modèles à Lambaréné

Pour booster des U17 de Lambaréné, de vieilles gloires du football gabonais y ont récemment joué un match d’exhibition. Ceux qui ont allègrement passé le cap de la quarantaine ont soutenu une action de Madeleine Berre qui a offert des équipements sportifs à ces jeunes qui espèrent évoluer dans de grands clubs.

Ils ont fait les beaux jours du football gabonais avec Azingo, ont passé le cap de la quarantaine et pris leur retraite, mais aujourd’hui, leur expérience compte tant ils sont présentés aux jeunes footballeurs du pays comme des modèles à suivre. Le week-end écoulé, ils étaient à Lambaréné où ils ont participé à un match d’exhibition qui les a opposés à l’équipe corpo de Schweitzer. Valérie Ondo, Aurélien Bekogho, Davy Onkassa, D’Assise Basten Mboumba, Simon Nguéma et bien d’autres vieilles gloires ont affronté ces «vieux poumons» de Schweitzer en présence du président de la Ligue de football du Moyen-Ogooué et des jeunes U17 évoluant dans le championnat local.

L’idée, a fait savoir l’organisatrice, Madeleine Berre, était de permettre à ces U17 évoluant dans des clubs comme FC Atongowanga, FC Schweitzer et UOB de s’inspirer de ces seniors afin de mieux exprimer leur passion pour le ballon rond, mais aussi, d’«être détectés et recrutés par de plus grands clubs». «Nous en avons pris de la graine», a déclaré l’un des jeunes joueurs. Pour les aider à évoluer dans de meilleures conditions, chacune de ces trois équipes a reçu des équipements sportifs composés de ballons et séries de maillots. «Ce sont des initiatives à encourager», a commenté l’une des vieilles gloires qui dit croire aux potentiels de ces jeunes joueurs.
