L’Organisation nationale des employés du pétrole (ONEP) a saisi urgemment le ministre du Pétrole et du gaz ainsi son collègue du Travail et de la lutte contre le chômage afin qu’ils interviennent pour « éteindre » le feu qui couve et menace d’exploser dans les compagnies pétrolières Addax Petroleum Oil & Gas au Gabon (APOGG) et Assala Gabon.
Selon les copies de ces saisines, l’ONEP sollicite l’intervention des deux ministres pour éviter une grève générale chez ces deux producteurs majeurs du pétrole au Gabon dès le 4 décembre prochain.
Les salariés des deux compagnies revendiquent plusieurs avantages pour lesquels les patrons font la sourde oreille depuis 2021. Ils ont confié les négociations à leur syndicat mais celui-ci déplore un manque de volonté d’Addax et Assala dans la satisfaction des doléances de leurs employés.
Auprès des deux compagnies, les ouvriers réclament des indemnités de bonne séparation. Addax est sur le point de perdre son site pétrolier de Dinonga Irondou dès janvier 2024. Le personnel opérant dans ce site exige le paiement de ses droits avant l’échéance de janvier.
Concernant Assala Gabon, le personnel exige une indemnité de bonne séparation suite au rachat de la société par Maurel & Prom.
Le bras de fer semble gagner en intensité dans les deux sociétés. Dans le passé, plusieurs conflits du genre ont été réglés sur la table du gouvernement, le pétrole étant le moteur de l’économie du Gabon.
