Cette entente vise à optimiser la participation de Tullow dans des champs clés au Gabon et sera réalisée par le biais d’un échange d’actifs sans numéraire impliquant l’échange proposé des participations détenues par les deux parties dans certaines licences au Gabon.

Tullow Oil a annoncé avoir signé, via sa filiale Tullow Oil Gabon, un accord d’échange d’actifs avec Perenco Oil and Gas Gabon, dont la réalisation de l’opération est attendue d’ici fin 2023 avec une date économique au 1er février 2023. Il vise à optimiser la participation de Tullow dans des domaines clés au Gabon.
Selon les clauses de cette entente, celle-ci permettra à Tullow entre autres : de tirer parti de ses compétences techniques et de se concentrer sur des postes plus importants dans des domaines clés et place les installations de Tchatamba au cœur de Tullow, d’atteindre un meilleur équilibre du portefeuille entre les ressources découvertes et les actifs d’évaluation et d’exploration, avec des opportunités claires de maximiser la valeur des actifs, conformément à la stratégie de croissance de l’exploration dirigée par l’infrastructure (ILX) du groupe.
Mais aussi, la cession et transfert par Tullow Gabon de ses pourcentages de participation existants dans les actifs de Limande, Turnix, Moba et Oba et d’une partie de son pourcentage existant des actifs de Simba à Perenco.
