Vie chère : Le Gabon tient ses premières assises dès ce 30 mars

Ce jeudi 30 mars s’ouvrent au Gabon les toutes premières Assises nationales de lutte contre la vie chère. Les travaux se tiendront dans un premier temps dans chaque capitale provinciale avant la rencontre générale prévue à Libreville dès le 7 avril prochain.

Annoncées par le Premier ministre en janvier dernier, les Assises nationales de lutte contre la vie chère s’ouvrent jeudi au Gabon. L’annonce faite dans une communication du gouvernement mardi sur le plateau du JT de Gabon 1ere et confirmée ce mercredi 29 mars par son porte-parole en conférence de presse précise que les travaux se dérouleront en deux phases : d’abord des assises dans chacune des neuf capitales provinciales du pays, du 30 au 31 mars 2023, sous la coordination de deux ministres et la responsabilité technique du gouverneur et des services déconcentrés ; et ensuite des assises nationales à Libreville, du 7 au 10 avril prochain, sous la coordination du Premier ministre et la responsabilité technique du ministre d’État en charge de la Lutte contre la vie chère. 

«L’objectif global de ces assises est de définir, avec l’ensemble des parties prenantes, c’est-à-dire les administrations, les opérateurs économiques et les associations des consommateurs, les mesures à mettre en œuvre pour améliorer le pouvoir d’achat des populations», a indiqué Yves Fernand Manfoumbi. Le porte-parole du gouvernement a également informé qu’«au terme de ces assises, il est prévu l’adoption des mesures fortes, réalistes et consensuelles devant permettre de soutenir significativement le pouvoir d’achat des ménages sur la base des recommandations issues des rapports provinciaux et du rapport national des Assises».

Ces assises porteront essentiellement sur quatre principaux thèmes : l’alimentation et la restauration ; le logement et la construction ; le transport, la santé et l’éducation ; la fiscalité et la parafiscalité.
