Au Gabon, les chantiers routiers et la construction des hôpitaux financés par l’État et dont les travaux n’ont pas été livrés verront les responsables répondre de leurs actes. L’annonce a été faite par le président du Comité pour la transition et la restauration des institutions (CTRI), le général Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.

Au lendemain du coup de force militaire du mercredi 30 août, le président de la transition, le général Brice Oligui Nguema a pris certaines décisions, à l’issue de la rencontre avec les leaders des communautés religieuses. «L’eau pour les Gabonais, les routes qui ont été financées et qui ne sont pas faites, les responsables iront en prison. Ou il termine sa route ou il va en prison », a déclaré le président du Comité pour la transition et la restauration des institutions (CTRI) face aux responsables des communautés religieuses.
Selon le président de la transition, il n’y a pas que les routes, il y a aussi les hôpitaux ayant été financés par l’État. «Il faut que tous, ensemble, nous mettons un comité pour aller regarder l’état des travaux. Et quand les gens verront ça, ils comprendront que le climat a changé», a-t-il indiqué. D’après lui, il y a beaucoup de détourneurs de fonds. Ces derniers doivent rembourser à l’État et au Gabonais. «C’est ensemble que nous allons donner aux Gabonais leurs dignités», a souligné le Général Brice Oligui Nguema.
Cette décision intervient dans un contexte où au Gabon plusieurs chantiers sont lancés à travers le pays sur la construction des routes et des hôpitaux. Plusieurs milliards ont été décaissés par l’État et ses partenaires pour la réalisation de ces travaux dans le pays, mais certains ne sont pas livrés. Parmi ces financements, il y a la réalisation des infrastructures routières en lien avec la Transgabonaise et l’aménagement des voiries urbaines, ainsi que la réhabilitation des structures sanitaires, le renforcement des plateaux techniques de certains hôpitaux et le déploiement des pharmacies hospitalières dans le pays.
