Djoutou, une bourgade née d’un regroupement de 6 villages à 10 km de la cité minière de Moanda dans la province du Haut Ogooué vient de se doter d’une raffinerie de miel d’une capacité annuelle d’environ 620 kg, un miel qui sera commercialisé sous le label « Miel de Djoutou ».
Tout est déjà en place. La raffinerie de miel de Djoutou est sur le point de livrer ses premiers délices aux adeptes de ce produit naturel très prisé pour sa valeur nutritive et ses effets positifs sur la santé.
Bâtie sur une surface de 200m² la raffinerie de miel de Djoutou a été construite par une entreprise locale appelé FMI sur un financement de l’Etat gabonais et de la Compagnie minière de l’Ogooué (COMILOG). Elle comporte 4 compartiments disposant d’un entrepôt, d’une salle de traitement, d’une salle de conditionnement du miel et une dernière pour l’accueil. Les bâtiments sont construits à l’aide de blocs de terre pressée hydraform qui répond aux exigences de qualité, de sécurité et environnement avec une réduction du flux d’énergie.
La COMILOG a assuré la formation des apiculteurs. Dans un premier temps la raffinerie disposera de 600 ruches. Le projet va générer 10 emplois directs.
Outre sa propre production, l’usine recevra le meilleur miel produit dans tous les coins de la province pour être conditionné puis vendu au niveau national voir international sous le label Djoutou. L’activité sera chapeautée dès sa livraison prochaine par les associations et coopératives qui font déjà dans la production de miel.
« La Direction générale de COMILOG s’est engagée à appuyer cette activité dans le but de créer de nouveaux emplois et surtout de générer des revenus au profit des populations locales », a expliqué le responsable RSE de la COMILOG, Steeve-Wilson Pwaty.
Ce projet d’activités génératrices de revenus bénéficie d’un soutien massif de la COMILOG dans le cadre de son volet sur la Responsabilité sociétale de l’entreprise (RSE).
