Baie des Rois : 35 milliards de FCFA investis dans le projet depuis le lancement

L’administrateur directeur général de la Façade maritime du champ triomphal (FMCT) a affirmé ce mercredi 14 juin avoir investi 35 milliards de FCFA depuis le lancement du projet de la Baie des Rois. Cette somme, selon Emmanuel Edane, a permis entre autres de financer les travaux maritimes, la viabilisation de la zone du Nord et du Centre, la construction d’une station de traitement des eaux usées, ainsi que celle de deux bâtiments qui seront livrés avant la fin de l’année 2023.

Avec un investissement initial de 15 milliards de FCFA, le projet de la Baie des Rois est désormais estimé à 35 milliards de FCFA. L’information a été donnée ce mercredi 14 juin par l’administrateur directeur général de la Façade maritime du champ triomphal (FMCT), Emmanuel Edane, au cours d’un point d’étape des chantiers sur le site.

«2015 a été capitalisée avec 15 milliards pour pouvoir finaliser les travaux sur la mer et la viabilisation. On a 12 hectares gagnés sur la mer et les routes. Ça, c’est l’investissement initial qui a été réalisé de 2016 à 2019. Ensuite, on a fait un emprunt obligataire en fin 2021 au système bancaire de 20 milliards de francs pour pouvoir réaliser 2 bâtiments et amorcer les travaux de l’autre côté. Donc, on est à 35 milliards pour FMCT », a déclaré Emmanuel Edane.

Selon l’ADG de la filiale du Fonds gabonais d’investissement stratégique (FGIS), sur la zone Nord il y a dix parcelles. Sur ces parcelles, quatre bâtiments sont en construction aujourd’hui et deux devraient démarrer dans l’année en cours. «Aujourd’hui sur ces dix parcelles, six font l’objet d’un développement immobilier, soit en cours de construction soit au niveau d’études et de permis de construire. Sur les quatre constructions en cours, deux bâtiments seront livrés en 2023, un en septembre et l’autre en décembre. Les deux autres bâtiments de bureaux seront livrés en juin 2024. Pour les quatre autres parcelles, nous sommes toujours en discussion avec les opérateurs», a-t-il ajouté.

Sur la zone Centre, l’aménagement de la promenade a débuté. Il est prévu la création d’une passerelle en bois, ainsi que des cheminements, quelques petits kiosques de restaurant, un parc urbain, des jeux et une place urbaine.

La Baie des Rois aujourd’hui c’est 11 chantiers, 500 ouvriers sur site, plus de 800 emplois indirects. C’est également une trentaine de PME gabonaises qui y travaille sur la gestion des déchets, le ramassage et le recyclage. La mission de la FMCT est pleinement alignée sur les objectifs de développement durable.
