À Oyem, le ministre le ministre des Mines et de la Géologie, Chen Sylvestre Mezui M’Obiang a procédé ce samedi 5 août 2023, en présence de son collègue ministre de la Santé et des Affaires sociales, Guy Patrick Obiang Ndong, à la mise en service d’un nouveau générateur d’énergie d’une capacité de 275 KVA au centre hospitalier régional. Le membre du gouvernement vient mettre un terme aux problèmes de délestages très fréquents dans la région sanitaire nord et permet au personnel soignant d’effectuer convenablement leurs tâches.
Le même élan s’est poursuivi avec l’inauguration de l’École provinciale de formation sanitaire et sociale d’Oyem (EPFASS). Dotée d’une capacité de 100 places, cette école de santé vient donner une réponse au manque de personnel de santé et contribuer à la formation des jeunes, ainsi qu’à la création d’emplois dans cette localité.

Situé à un peu plus de 10 km de la ville d’Oyem, l’hôpital départemental d’Ebeigne est une structure sanitaire de niveau 2, spécialisée dans la prise en charge et la recherche des maladies parasitaires et tropicales. Plusieurs bâtiments ont été rénovés et dotés en matériel de dernière génération pour une prise en charge efficiente des populations rurales.
